Gaëtane Thevenon

Gaëtane Thevenon est une designer basée à Paris. Son travail s'articule principalement autour de la relation que nous entretenons avec nos objets. Elle s'intéresse aux liens et aux formes d'attachement que nous tissons pour et par nos objets tout au long de notre vie. Gaëtane aspire, à travers ses productions, à inciter les usagers à en faire l’expérience à leur manière, à se les approprier, pour ainsi faire partie intégrante de la vie de leurs objets, et inversement. Convaincue que ces liens sont essentiels et qu'ils nous aident à nous construire, elle cherche à créer des supports efficaces pour inciter l'usager à y placer une charge émotionnelle forte. Gaëtane s’intéresse à l’accompagnement, la personnalisation, ainsi qu'à des manières de sortir des sentiers battus dans notre rapport au monde, tout en tenant compte de l’évolution de la société et des enjeux sociaux et climatiques actuels.

Gaëtane Thevenon is a designer working in Paris. Her work revolves around the relationship between us and our objects. She is fascinated by the links and kinds of attachment that we develop for and through them all along our lives. Through her productions, Gaëtane seeks to encourage each user to experience it in their own way and become an integral part of the life if their object, and vice-versa. Convinced that these links are essentials and that they help us to shape our identities, she strives to create efficient objects to encourage the users to put a strong emotional load on them. Gaëtane is interested in pedagogy, appropriation, and ways to think outside the box in our relationship to the world while taking into account the evolution of society and current social and climate issues.
